A life built on the
pursuit of justice
I have spent most of my professional life sitting in the space between people in conflict and the resolution they need. As a Gazetted Mediator and International/Commercial Arbitrator, I have seen what happens when the law is adequate on paper but structurally unable to deliver justice in practice. That gap is what drives my research and my practice.
My academic background spans Law, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, and Dispute Management, work that has always crossed disciplines rather than stayed inside one. I am currently completing Doctoral Research in Law in the United Kingdom, with a specific focus on Employment Law and Employment and Commercial Dispute Management across the Commonwealth Caribbean.
I am a Gazetted Mediator formally appointed by the Government of Jamaica, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (United Kingdom), a Dispute Management Panelist with the Jamaica International Arbitration Centre (JAICA), and a Member of Arbitral Women. My research examines the institutional and statutory gap between existing Dispute Management mechanisms in the Caribbean and the enforcement frameworks needed to make them effective for workers and employers.
Beyond the academic work, I have spent years working in operations management and the creative industries, advising on intellectual property, contractual matters, and Employment and Commercial Dispute Management in the music and entertainment sector. I am also the author of the forthcoming memoir The 16th Sentence.
